Culture of sustainability
Spreading the culture of sustainability and inclusion is an important goal for the BioDistrict South Sardinia and Sulcis Archipelago, which relies on the Millepiedi Cooperative and other entities operating in the cultural and social fields of our territory. Respect for the environment starts with respect for people, from the value of well-being understood as “shared well-being” even in an intergenerational sense, primarily based on the duty to leave to future generations the assets, not only environmental, that we currently enjoy. A well-being and quality of life that are in harmony with the environment, a place of sharing and growth, far from the throwaway and waste logic. The BioDistrict South Sardinia and Sulcis Archipelago, particularly on the cultural level, aims to promote the enhancement of Sardinian culture and that of Tabarchina (Calasetta and Carloforte) and the synergy that can be built between them, starting from traditional food and wine traditions and agricultural practices.

The company
We manage services and projects in the social, educational, and cultural fields. For example, as of today we manage: in Calasetta and Carloforte the Nursery for children aged 0-3; the Municipal Library of Decimomannu; the Youth Project of the Municipality of San Giovanni Suergiu; The Territorial Pedagogical Coordination PLUS Sulcis Archipelago; Includis for Plus Sulcis Archipelago.
We manage and have created the Ràixe digital archive for Tabarchina culture in Calasetta at Via Umberto 61 (www.raixe.it) In 2025, it offers two occasional accommodation rooms in the legal headquarters of the cooperative to host tourists, teachers, lecturers, conference participants, etc.

Mission
We move, curious and interested, in search of the cultural roots of the territories, creating networks and relationships within communities. We share ideas, tools, and paths to facilitate the achievement of meaningful goals for the preservation of the peculiarities and identities of communities. We design innovative alternatives starting from solid or
unlikely roots and genius loci.

Future goals
To be a reference point for innovative offers aimed at young people and disadvantaged individuals that go in the direction of integrating tradition and innovation (e.g., social agriculture with innovative methods and to introduce modernity into ancient crafts)

Contribution to the BioDistrict
The undersigned has been tasked with coordinating some activities of the BioDistrict and organizing the Biofestival over several days. Our soft skills will facilitate internal dialogue within the BioDistrict and ease the creation of networks and connections and who knows… in progress…
